Prism

Too often we enjoy the comfort of opinion....without the discomfort of thought ~ John F. Kennedy

My mind is like a prism where situations around me transcend into thoughts and more often into artistic visions. Many a times, I assume to have assimilated the situations around me and feel like having done justice to these circumstances. But, often I understand that these opinions & actions were premature outcomes of these multiple thoughts bouncing back and forth in my mind.

To pacify my discomfort and to clear the canvas of random thoughts on my mind, I set out again to conquer myself...At times what drives me is the sense of self motivation but a lot of other times, I draw inspiration from those around me.

I dont mince my words, when I say "its not easy to change your outlook, it comes with a lot of discomfort and agitation". But every time you overcome this discomfort of mind & thought you will experience this bliss that's unexplained. It feels like an elixir to these petty conflicts of thought and no doubt feel on the top of the world having won over myself again.

In this quest to unravel the real me...I chose the path of discomfort of my thoughts over my opinions...what about you?

Metamorphosis

“I am dragged along by a strange new force. Desire and reason are pulling in different directions. I see the right way and approve it, but follow the wrong.” - Ovid, Metamorphoses

A realization that I had today...made me notice how I transcended into a person with clear wishes and preferences. This metamorphosis from a bud with closed eyes and blind faith to a blossom with its own special fragrance was with a lot of ups and down. The change worth noticing was to learn to stand up for my choices and to convince others to respect the same. In the due course, I understood that I  might not always be right, but I am sure when I want to stand apart from the crowd. I want to be heard, I want to be noticed. If people assume that doing what everyone does is right I appreciate their thought but I choose to differ.

I relish this metamorphoses of mine and vouch to stand by my new identity of a different me!!!!!

Rippless...

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”

                                                                                                                                                - Mother Teresa
I always liked to watch the ripples in the water on a rainy day... It signified come continuity at the time when everything around me dawned a gloomy look and came to a stand still. I would gaze at these ripples and admire how a tiny drop of water could inspire a stagnant pool of water to come alive. The beauty of this whole scene was to watch these mild serenity in these tiny  ripples and to relish the sound of these droplets falling mildly into my ears... I would quietly sit in my veranda and watch these ripples constantly challenging them selves to move ahead of each other.. Now when I drew this creation called "Ripples" ... I made an analogy to constantly feel empowered like those tiny droplets and send out my ripples of difference to this world. It is a great feeling to get inspired from these simple artifacts of nature and adorn this motivation to do something great and to achieve something BIG!!

All set with my ripples of difference...... Have u felt them yet??

Artathon

Art is not just a hobby for me. Its my passion, its an e scape into my world of freedom where I am not bound by the shackles of society, work and relations. It helps me realise the need to keep my cool and transcend into an enchanting world of imagination where my thoughts take their wings to fly. I take a leap into the streams of fresh thoughts & my own art inspires me to run and grab more to make a decent use of this freedom...

Its nice to see how well my sketches and words resonate my mood, they often reflect the anxiety in me. They indeed are mute but their roar is quite powerful to push my random thoughts and fears into a lull. My art gives  this momentum to be in pace of this race in called life, so its not a mere exaggeration if I iterate this marathon called life as ARTATHON!

Blaze.. Revisited

How can I make it BIG?? How can I achieve more?? I often find myself jostling with these questions in my mind.. At that nick of the moment I make a resolution & I find what I am actually capable of...this is the time when I am my best critic. I bet the same happens with most of you.

Our plans reflect what we currently lack at, and we amicably manage to chalk out better plans for ourselves. But we somehow miss this target, what stops us from taking it seriously is the lack of commitment from within us. I believe that the the simple mantra to keep us on track is to remember that " Our ambitions & the eternal quest to achieve and succeed should be setting our sails high" Its important to plan but what is more important is to believe in it and execute. To execute on your own plans is the begging of a testimony of success in your life. I hope you will begin to write your testimony soon.

So, keep fuelling the blaze in you to achieve the unique I from within U.. And just ponder on this great saying that fuelled the blaze in me.

Men often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability to do it even if I dint have it in the beginning.

Ganesha 2

I am on a constant quest to achieve more and keep fighting out with myself to bring the best out of me.. I myself set my targets, and my own achievements  keep questioning my capability. It sometimes leads me into these doldrums where I wonder, which direction to go and what to achieve. But then the only thing that keeps me grounded is my faith. My faith in divinity and my trust in myself is what keep me going. I strengthen my self for a even difficult terrain and continue on this never ending quest for the best.
So, to all those who find themselves lost and to those who look up for some ray of hope ... my suggestion is to peep into yourself, the answer to all your myths lies within you.. and just within you.

"Shades of our Lives"

Sometimes, we are shadowed by overwhelming care, we loose our foot hold and sway ourselves with the tides of emotions. When these tides calm down and we meet reality and are unable to hold ourselves together. We resort to staying aloof , may be buy sometime to spend in the nature's lap, adorning its calmness, beauty and splendid colours. Nature teaches us to empathise and optimise our emotions  to make life splendid.
"Shades of our Lives", brings a message that its always necessary to optimise as the correct merge of colors and shades is what makes nature so beautiful. So, building on that note if we carefully optimise our shades of emotions, we can walk that extra mile in life which brings us closer to the heaven of peace. Keep optimising and don't forget to empathise coz you need to choose the shades of life carefully!

Myra

Myra- the beauty that one can die for!

It needs a second to ponder over, that why we crave for something so much, that we loose ourselves sometimes emotionally and seldom physically. I would not think twice when I say, it is important to learn to develop a fervor for something, and it could transcend into your passion too, but you  need to be careful that your passion doesn't become your obsession. The two words  may stand out apart,  but in practise we often jeopardise the way we handle them in real life.

The beauty of life is that to earn what you ve lost in this craving is just a simple gesture, the warmth in your eyes that say you care. You need not spend billions to earn your loved ones back coz they are people with emotions and have a heart that beats for you. Invariably its in your hands that you dont push it so far that you need to see those precious tears rolling out of someones eyes for whom you care. So the take home message is take care of the MYRA of ur life- The person for whom u can die.

Out of the box!

To think "Out of the box" is giving wings to our imagination. Its a sign of freedom and signifies that we our not bond by the shackles of rote thoughts and rudimentary ideology. Taking on these wings of freedom, we set out on this flight to perform better and reach greater heights. We need to experiment, take risk and just strom through with belief in ourselves.

To sum it up, "Stand upright, speak thy thoughts, declare the truth though hast. Be bold, proclaim it everywhere. They only live who dare". - Voltaire

The "I" in "U"

Rediscover the "I" in you. Sometimes we get carried away with our commitments, living up to our virtues and duties. We reach this place in life where start living up to others expectations and let go our feelings  just to show that we care. Many a times we are held in the bondage of life and forget who we are and what are we here for. In my opinion the day we forget about these two questions, that day marks the beginning of loosing of ourselves and it is this very moment when you walk away from the "Moolah" of life. So, it is important to rejuvenate our life with little bit of emotions and to build bonds that will comfort us in our bad times and create memories that will give us a lighter moment in our hectic schedule, but it definitely should not be at the cost of loosing your self. Learn to live, learn to emote and learn to rediscover the "I" in "U" coz this act of balancing is what we call life!
